Vol. #17
The FIB issue #17: The LAST issue (the digital version is 56

Each
issue of The Fidalgo Island's Beautiful fanzine is made entirely by
hand and free of paid advertisements by former Fidalgo Island resident
turned Olympia local, Jimi Sharp. Originally each issue was created
with the idea in mind that individual copies would be photocopied on a
copy machine in black and white and read in the tangible zine format.
Welcome to the 21st Century edition of The FIB zine in FULL
COLOR!!!
Issue
#17 "The OLYMPIA Issue" including - Cover art by Calvin featuring a
fantastic Kitty drawing (the glasses and sailor hat make the Kitty look a
lot like Jimi) /// Beat Happening related memories as told by: Lois
Maffeo, Pat Maley, Diana
Arens, Phil Elverum, and Nikki McClure /// An exclusive Beat Happening
interview Pt. 2 (Heather, Bret, and Calvin were each interviewed at

cool ephemera /// An impromptu interview on the streets of Olympia (4th
& Adams) with Arrington de Dionyso of Old Time Relijun /// Book

as seen in The Cooper Point Journal (one character in each comic is
wearing a Beat Happening inspired T-shirt) /// The FIB's Postcards From
Europe: Journal Entries from Dublin, Edinburgh, London, Paris, and
Amsterdam, circa 1998 with plenty of accompanying pictures and
descriptions of Jimi's OCD obsession with sharing his
love of independent music with the world /// A drawing of a ghost
resting on it's laurels in front of a stop sign, which means THIS IS THE
LAST ISSUE. Really! I mean it this time.
