Hive Dwellers, The
Lynch the Swan Zip Pak
Last year the Hive Dwellers stepped into Dub Narcotic Studio to record a 7” 45 rpm phonograph record of a particular type: a Dub Narcotic Disco Plate. That being a single on which the A side is a strong, hit-bound song by the artist in question, and the B side is a remix of said song by the fabulous Selector Dub Narcotic. Here are the results:
1. Lynch the Swan
For this particular session the Hive Dwellers consists of Calvin Johnson on electric guitar & vocals, Karl Blau playing the electric bass guitar, and Andrew Dorsett keeping rhythm on the drum set, providing stylish flourishes on the keyboard. Powerful stuffs.
On the flip side is a remix version by Selector Dub Narcotic:

Melodica overdrive with a wholesome side helping of Echo Mic.
This edition of the Singles Zip-Pak features Special Apps, recordings that do not appear on the “Lynch the Swan” Dub Narcotic Disco Plate; rather Special Apps are available only here at the K Mail Order Dept.
3. Selector Dub Narcotic “Slow Motion Sty”
When Selector Dub Narcotic got up real close to the Hive Dwellers song “Lynch the Swan” he realized it was at the wrong speed. Here is the modernization, adjusted for reality.
