Electric Sunset
Electric Sunset Zip Pak
Selections from the debut Electric Sunset album Electric Sunset [KLP221]
1. "Soda"
2. "Here Comes Midnight"
Using synthesizers, guitar, modified samplers and computers, Nic Zwart recorded this album over the course of three months in Washington and California, including extensive time at Olympia's Dub Narcotic Studio. Electric Sunset is a distillation of ambient music through spiky pop songs with loud synthetic percussion and muscular bass lines; expansive expressions of movement creating a current of shiny sounds.
This edition of the K Singles Zip-Pak features special apps not available on Electric Sunset's debut album:
3. "Destroyer (Demo)"
4. "Soda Version"
5. "Ringtone Destroyer"
"Destroyer (Demo)" is the demonstration recording of a song that isn't included on the album Electric Sunset. "Soda Version" is a minimal remix of this week's A side by Nic Zwart. The final piece is a ringtone derived from the charming keyboard melodies of "Destroyer (Demo)".
Originally transmitted on the 8th of July, 2010.
