Chain and The Gang

Cry, Cry, Cry (Over You) Zip Pak

While recording their first album at Dub Narcotic Studio, Down with Liberty‚ĶUp with Chains! [KLP203], the Gang had so many extra good ideas for "Chain Gang Theme (I See Progress)" it was obviously going to spill over onto a Dub Narcotic Disco Plate; background vocals here are by Sixx, piano solo by Brian Weber. Chain (aka Ian Svenonius) himself was inspired to recreate the song under a diff title; Selector Dub Narcotic added his own flourishes, and voila! here it is:

1. Cry, Cry, Cry (Over You) 2. Snakes on a Plane

This edition of theSingles Zip-Pak features Special Apps not available on the "Cry, Cry, Cry (Over You)" 7" 45 rpm record:

3. Snakes on a Journey

This version of "Chain Gang Theme" features the melodica stylings of Selector Dub Narcotic mixed extra strong, no cream, no sugar.

Ian Svenonius has now held numerous sessions at the Dub Narcotic Studio dating back to 1995 when his earlier combo Make-Up recorded the Dub Narcotic Disco Plate "R U a Believer" [DBN106]. The final item in thisSingles Zip Pak transmission is an essay by Ian cataloguing some of his thoughts and observations on the Dub Narcotic Studio process:

4. Journey to the Center of the Dub by Ian Svenonius aka "Chain"

The phonograph record of "Cry, Cry, Cry (Over You)" [DBN119] became available in December, 2010.
