Nucular Aminals
Bob Flanagan Zip Pak
What would happen if you woke up in the morning and squeezed your tube of toothpaste, but a thick glob of sunshine oozed out instead of minty freshness? It would be very similar to this breed of Aminals, which was formed in Portland, Oregon by four distinctly rare species of music-makers who specialize in perfect pop melancholy. Selections from their debut album Nucular Aminals[KLP233]:
1. Bob Flanagan
2. Eat Me
This edition of the K Singles Zip-Pak features Special Apps, recordings that will not appear on the Nucular Aminals phonograph record, available only here at the K Mail Order Dept.
3. Downstairs Children
Recorded on a four-track tape machine at a recent Nucular Aminals rehearsal in their practice shed, “Downstairs Children” illustrates how easily the pop narcotic/psychotic is for this band to draw together in an afternoon.
The Nucular Aminals album Nucular Aminals [KLP233] became available June 21, 2011.
